Sep. 22nd, 2008 01:32 pmMy sister is made of awesome and she knows me so well, because she bought me season 1 of Heroes for my birthday. :D Only now I am pissed that I have to miss all my favorite shows because of class and work. D: And that includes Heroes season 3, which premiers tonight. And Pushing Daisies. I may get to see that one occasionally, my work schedule is very changeable. Speaking of which they cut my hours, so I need to look for another job. Damn.
But in better news, I have another idea for the recipe contest. I have until the first to test it and enter it; all I will say for now is that it falls into the "appetizer" category this time. You can enter more than one recipe as long as they are in different categories. I'm trying to think of something original for breakfast and desert. Just to increase my chances of winning. Best case scenario: they are so blown away by my food that they offer to pay for the rest of my eductaion and offer me a job on their research and developement team right after graduation. Oh yeah. I mean, sure working in a restaurant is fun and obvious, but seeing as how the economy is sucking and I'm having a hard enough time trying to find another fast food job, I'm looking at other career options for professional chefs. Including becoming a chef/registered dietician. That would certainly increase my employability.
And now I'm about to go to That Damn Chef's class and make Chicken Roulade with Bearnaise Sauce. Yum.
