pennie_dreadful: A cat wearing glasses (House--Dollar)

i suppose this is one of those decisions

That we make before we even have to do much thinking.  Of course, transfering schools may not be the best answer.  For all I know the culinary school in Montgomery could be worse.  I can't see how, but all that could be is lack of imagination.  Of course my parents are all in favor of me moving closer to home.

However that is not the only reason for moving.  It is becoming increasingly difficult to just support myself.  I'm happy if there's a pack of sodium-and-preservative laced lunchmeat on sale so I can buy 2 kinds and have a little variety.  Thankfully--sort of--I have at least four free meals a week due to working in fast food joint.  But I am heartily sick of chicken sandwiches, nuggets, and strips.  I've lived like this before (I call those my Pancake Days, when I lived for several weeks on a box of Aunt Jemima pancake mix, that was fortunately the "just add water" kind, and not the milk and eggs kind, which I didn't have.  I didn't even have syrup or butter, just a jar of strawberry jam to put on them.  You can guess that I am not so very fond of pancakes anymore.)  So I suppose that these are my Chicken Days.

I've also been looking for another job, part-time, on the weekends and maybe weekday mornings when I'm not in class.  But not another restaurant job.  Something where I can be stationary, and maybe get some studying done when things are slow.  Another receptionist gig, perhaps.  Hopefully, if I get a chance to talk to the leasing agent at my apartment complex, I'll find a way to get out of this lease by December and be able to transfer to the school in Montgomery before I get into having to look for an internship down here.

Things continue to be pretty crappy, but I'm still optimistic.  And Olive is still ruling the roost--which reminds me of what happened last night.  Must end this post on a positive note.  Olive and Oz seem to be getting along very well.  Last night they were on my bed and Oz started grooming Olive.  Which was adorable in and of itself, but then Olive I guess was put in mind of her mother, because she started trying to nurse Oz, who I'm sure you recall is male.  He stood it for as long as he could before getting disgusted with the cute idiot and going away.

I think sharing a slightly undersized full bed with Oz and Toby is comparable to that. They're big cats. The average cat id 6 to 8 pounds, and Toby's 14 pounds; that's not fat, that's just his normal size. Oz is 10 pounds, but that's mostly cause he is fat. Of course Olive doesn't really count, except I'm afraid of rolling over and squishing her.

Sounds like a mixture of comfy (when everything is just right) and crowded (at all other points).

Still, I enjoy animals...well except for the dumb one here.

Even better is when they sleep actually on me. They're heavy! And then they have the nerve to get disgruntled when I roll over.

How dare they! Well animals we own end up owning us; that's for sure.

I am glad I'm at school today, because a roommate just texted me to inform me that our "friend's" dog just shat all over the living room and then ran through it multiple times...in front of 4 people.

I dislike this dog with a passion...and had I been there I doubt I would have dealt well with the shit bomber.

Ewe. She ran through it? Ugh, at least when Olive shat in my bed she didn't smear it into the sheets or anything.

Grossest thing I have ever personally witnessed was a cousin's dog shitting, and then immediately turning around and eating it.

I am so glad I'm going to lunch in 30 minutes. Well, at least now I won't be hungry from now until then. ;0

(That is gross, btw.)

Too bad you're not dieting. I would be glad to keep you on the wagon by grossing you out. ;P
