pennie_dreadful: A cat wearing glasses (White Cat)

damn cat!

I think Toby somehow realized that I have been neglecting him in my lj of late, what with all the pictures and funny stories I've posted recently of Oz.  He decided that just was not fair, so he plotted and waited for his turn to do something rant-worthy.

I was changing out the litter, as I do, because I am a good pet owner and I would never dream of forcing my kitties to use soiled, smelly litter *snort*, and while I was taking the litter out to the trash (I use those plastic litter liners, you know, that come with twisties?) Toby decided he had to go right now and peed in the box.  While it was empty.

On the one hand, I suppose I should be grateful, and a little proud, that my cat is so well trained that he wouldn't dream of soiling the carpet, but still.  He couldn't have waited one more minute?  Sheez, I swear he is the stupidest cat I have ever known.  I need to get my brother's camera phone (for some reason the pictures I posted with his phone showed up, while mine don't) and post some pictures of him.  He really is beautiful, despite his funny little nose.  And I looove him anyway, even though he is an annoying little bastard who likes to jump on my stomach at five a.m. and demand petting, scratching, and general worshipping.

That's nothing - I've caught Leon trying to wash Cotton's bum while she's doing her business! He's a bit obsessed with washing the other cats' bums, actually - some kind of weird fixation perhaps? At least he's clean. Gaia is so inflexible that she can't reach her bum and gets dags! Which we have to clean for her! It's easily the worst chore in the house. I mean, it really stinks! And she makes an awful carry-on, especially if we have to get the scissors to trim the fur.

Poor, pitiful you. :p My grandparents raised pekingese, and their stud, Popeye, had the same problem. Guess who got to the honors when I was taking care of my grandmother? He was an ornery little critter, too.
