Eh, I bounce back quicker than I used to.
Time was setbacks like these would have sent me spiraling down and I would have fucking well quit even trying.
Anyway somebody else messaged me about moving in, although my quest for The Job continues; I got a special ~Job Alert~ from Snagajob about them, instead of being lumped in with Today's Job Recommendations. I've applied five or six times now. Whatever I did wrong at the interview, give me a chance to get it right, please oh god. A living wage, that's all I ask; a decent, competent human being for a boss would just be a bonus at this point.

it really DOESN'T have to be something you 'did wrong', even; just one person out of the hundred or so that applied having one more line on their resume than you. which in a way, sucks even worse. but still.

Apparently, according to my current boss, I have the authority to write people up. lol?!

Awe <3
Tylendel looked up at the sound of the front door opening. He was surprised to see Vanyel entering, since he was usually at Court until at least tenth bell.
“Van, are you alright?” There was a worried frown on Tylendel’s face.
Vanyel rubbed his temples and said, “I’ve had a demon of a headache all day.”
Tylendel grimaced. “Well, that’s no good. Come here, let me rub your neck and see if that helps.”
Vanyel made his way over to the sofa and sat on the floor between Tylendel’s spread knees, and sighed as he surrendered to Tylendel’s ministrations. Amazingly, within just a few seconds, the headache vanished.
“Hmmm. You sure you don’t have the Healing gift? It already feels better.”
Tylendel chuckled softly. “Pretty sure I don’t. It’s probably just brought on by stress. You have a lot on your shoulders right now.” But he didn’t stop the massage, content to leave his book for later. This was much better than the poetry of Verdain.
“You’re worth it, though,” Van said, placing one of his hands atop Tylendel’s, and giving it a squeeze.
Tylendel was quiet for a moment before answering. “I’m glad you think so, ashke.”
“What were you doing when I came in? I hope I didn’t interrupt your studying.”
”Nah, I packed it up about a candlemark after supper. I was just reading the new Verdain.”
Vanyel made an interested noise, and Tylendel said, “Get up here where it’s more comfortable. I’ll read it to you.”
So Vanyel got off the floor and stretched out on the sofa with his head pillowed in Tylendel’s lap, where they remained until they were interrupted by Savil’s entrance, who upon seeing them cast her eyes upward and muttered “First one pair, now another. Gods spare me.”

Re: Awe <3
I was wondering where it fit as I read it - I was kinda trying to temporally place it in MPTP, as Van's comfort with the situation (esp with Savil walking in on them) felt 'too soon' for MPTP as it stands? Although I'm not sure of the time gap between chs 3 and 4?
Writing is being hard for me rn, but I am trying; I figure I'm going to stay focused on work and reading for the next couple of months (oh, and that pesky thing where we are trying to move house), and just let everything else happen as it may. But I am wishing that words were not so hard. :/
