been a busy week

So the old student loan check came in last week.  Know what means?  I BOUGHT FOOD!!!  My pantry is absolutely beside itself with glee, my fridge and freezer simply do not know what to do with themselves.  I spent more than I intended, a little over four hundred dollars, but hey, I'm not going to have this much money again anytime soon, right?  And I need the practice, right?  I started off with something simple--the already posted honey hot wings--and I have several more meals planned, so expect more food posts from me.  Although I think I am going to give up trying to cut picture heavy or long posts.  Anyway.  I'm also buying a new bag, the blottoe bag in olive from Simple Shoes.  I have been lusting after that bag for months, but at first, could not justify the purchase, and later on simply could not afford it. Also buying some books from the Literary Guild, since they have been pestering me to buy more books from them.  After this I'm cancelling my membership though.  I'll just keep the one SFBC account and that's it.  Oh, and I have tomorrow off from class because it's Mardi Gras.  Insane, huh?  But I guess not surprising, given this is the Gulf Coast and Mobile has a pretty big Mardi Gras parade, too.  Not as big as the one in New Orleans, but still exciting.  I'm not going though, just enjoy my day off, and catch up on some homework I've been neglecting.  :/  Oh, yes, and I'm taking Olive to get her vaccinations, too.  So...that's all the news from me.  Speaking of Olive:
