Adventures with fake meat

TSP (textured soy protein)...it's okay I guess. If you taste it by itself it's kinda funky, but if it's in something, it covers up the funkiness. I tried it in bolognese last night and honestly, I would just rather go with straight vegetables than use TSP. Although I suppose there might be occasions where it's useful.

I'm still side eyeing the cheese made from rice, though.

Have you tried cheese made from nuts?

Good ebook on nut cheeses. Or easy peasy how to. And then there are the cheese cakes.

I can't stand it when food tries to be something its not. I like plenty of vegetarian or vegan dishes, and all of those I do like aren't trying to be something else.

I mean, if I'm going to eat tofu I'd rather have it be tofu instead of a tofurkey, you know?

But more power to you if you can eat these substitutions. :D

I figured it was worth at least trying, you know?
