I'm stealing your idea, Shan. I started a separate food blog over at midnightbaker . This one is now strictly for personal crap, and book reviews, whenever I can motivate myself enough to write one.
Half the year is devoted to hurricane season. Which means I get some lovely new briefings at work, on how to prepare for such an event. It being right on the freaking beach and all.
Cool! I have bookmarked you :) I'm stuck in giraffedays at the mo but will friend when aurillia again. Hah. Sounds kinda funky like I've got disguises ;) I'll never check the flist from the book blog so I'm trying to keep it all under the original LJ.
Hurricanes huh? Wow. We had a devious northerly wind on the weekend but it kinda pales in comparison ...
I've decided the same thing, I've already confused myself a few times be replying to comments signed in as midnightbaker. I get two email notifications, one of the original comment I replied to and my own reply! I think I'm going to switch my primary email on that account to my gmail account so it cuts down on the confusion.
I hope they don't hit you hard this year! Does it worry you, living close to the beach/ working at the beach?
See, I don't have to deal with hurricanes (they only really hit up north of us), so they sound really big and scary. You might be totally accustomed to them...
It can be nerve wracking, but I keep in ming that storms like Katrina and Frederick happen pretty rarely and most of the ones we get are (relatively) mild with minimal property damage.
